Antonia Gunnarson is an Oakland-based designer specializing in costume design for the theatre. She has worked professionally since graduating from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She was the recipient of the UCSC Division of the Arts Dean’s Award (Costume Design for Helen of Egypt).
After completing her undergraduate degree, Antonia went on to earn a 5th Year Graduate Certificate in Theatre Arts from UCSC. She has designed for the Magic Theatre, Aurora Theatre, Shotgun Players, and FringeNYC/Playground, among others. She has also worked in various capacities for the CalShakes, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, and Berkeley Rep.
Recent designs include Heart Shaped Nebula (Shotgun Players) and Talley’s Folly (Aurora Theatre).
